This recipe I learned from my dad. Before he became vegetarian, he used to make this cooking masterpiece of fast, healthy and filling, quite often :)
Me and my sister used to love it, and eat until the last rice was gone from the frying pan :) This is a bit “my version” of it, with the cayenne pepper, as I looove spicy food! Enjoy!

1 can of red beans (400g)
2 cans of cherry tomatoes (400g each)
1 cup of wild rice (you can use normal rice if your prefer)
400-500g grounded beef
a pinch of nutmeg
a pinch of thyme (optional)
1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
2 small onions or one big
2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
4 cloves of garlic
salt and pepper

The magic:

Boil rice in salted water. In the meantime:

Heat up olive oil on the frying pan add diced onion. When glazed put in smashed garlic and fry for a minute more. Be careful not to burn garlic or it will become bitter.

Increase the heat under the pan and add minced beef. Try to crush the bigger pieces with a wooden spoon. The smaller the better! Add a bit of salt and a pinch of nutmeg.

When the beef is properly fired add cherry tomatoes, drained red beans and rice drained out of water. Season with pepper, a bit more salt if needed, cayenne pepper and thyme (if you like it).

Bon appetit!

Tips and tricks:
Tastes great with grated cheese on top. Is very rich in good carbs and protein.
